I hadn’t posted anything on the blog in awhile, but when I saw this I knew it was time.

What kind of commercial do people want to see during a recession? One that reminds them that people are being fired, and then that you need to go spend money on overpriced diapers! Woohoo!

Going on from the cover of Lady Gaga, I was on stumbleupon and found this hidden gem. Another artist I don’t usually like Katie Perry being covered by a Ukrainian folk band. For the record I think Ukrainians are way funnier than Russians.

It’s cheaper than Apples and strangely I want it more.

Real wars are lame, T-Shirt ones are not.

What’s worse than having your marriage proposal rejected? Doing it at a hockey game with thousands of people watching.

Guess some girls don’t like classy wedding proposals at hockey games :(

I was discussing today google’s decision to close some music blogs today that were being hosted on it’s blogger site. And it reminded me of this old commercial from the UK for Heineken (Which by the way is for some reason on my computers spellchecker…) and it’s a funny ad but sadly paints a fairly accurate picture of law suits in the US. Companies react to situations before they know if a party is guilty to avoid a law suit, Children can’t eat candy in school, doctors get sued if they make a mistake. People’s greed for money is taking away peoples trust and respect for each other… I’m gonna go get a beer.

I was doing my usual rounds of the web and saw this video on sikkdays. It’s sad how the news has gone from reporting the happenings of the day to becoming a form of entertainment concentrating more on ratings then informing. In this news piece parody Charlie Brooker does a really good job of breaking down the format of the average news show, especially the BBC and making fun of it’s lack of actual information.

As a side not there was a study on news content from the 2004 election by the University of Indiana and they found there was no difference in substance of the news content between the average news shows and the daily show.

Living your own life can be difficult and tiring why not have google existence live it for you? Or maybe your life is more boring than you’d like it to be, no worries google existence can lead a more exciting life for you. Don’t fret about not knowing what’s been going on in your new “real” life as you’ll get an email weekly updating you on your life!
